At the beginning of the year, my friend lent me an AmigaOne A1222+ for testing. I took advantage of the opportunity to record two videos, the second of which I published on YT a few days ago. In it, I show several benchmarks, such as E-UAE, Hollywood or converting movies to FFMPEG, I compare it with the results of SAM 460. I also show which 3D applications work well and which do not. I encourage those interested in the subject to watch the video, the material is accompanied by English subtitles.
Thanks for this review. I think many users are asking themselves which machine is best, and videos like these help them make a better purchasing decision based on each user's needs.
Sam460LE AmigaOS 4.1FE with 2 Gb ram and Radeon RX550 LowProfile.
IMHO, FPU in Tabor and all issues coming with, make the SAM looks much better choose. Together with fact that Acube do support their older customers for long (like 440 update with new uboot). And there also "soon" to be released drivers which support GART on SAM, making 3D be faster in compare with how it now in public.
If only Tabor cost 200$ then yeah, that can be taken into account, but as of now, imho again, for any newcomer best way is SAMs or X5K, and nothing else.
@kas1e There is a small problem. I checked last week after seeing the material from @mufa on the acube-systems website for sam460LE availability. There was one the motherboard to buy. Currently - Not available.
@kas1e I absolutely agree, that ACube excellent support and continuing developement for its products is very big advantage.
A1222+ has chance to be really very good computer. Except the SPE I mentioned in article other options for possible improvement. We will see if it will come true.

Do you know if the L2 cache of CPU is currently enabled on the SAM460? I had read that it was disabled due to coherence issues like GART, but I don't know if those are things of the past and it is currently enabled.

... Under some circumstances, the L2 controller may miss snoop-able write requestes and cause incoherency between L2 cache and main memory. To avoid this potential problem, the AOS4.1 kernel on Sam460 disable L2 cache write by default, slightly degrading performance. ...
