Hi Guys,

I have just bought the new Storm5CEd, during the installation process it ask me about a registration code but I haven't found any registration code inside the archive or inside the email.. Where is it? Is there someone who bought it?

The best thing to do is email Simon.

When you get it, put it somewhere safe because if you move your installed version it will invalidate the registration.

What you want to know ? I got it few years ago and its good, while still have some small bugs and if i remember right didn't have folding/unfolding (or have , and its codebench didn't have that?:) ). But it looks good, feel fluid.

StormCED has filetype specific folding, eg. amigaguide folds nodes and also supports folding for C, ARexx & Catalog files.

Is it possible to build/compile C code from the editor and have error reported back to it, can you create a C project etc or is it just a text editor.

I was able to activate my copy thanks to Alinea Support but now I have another problem and maybe you can help me :)

The program starts without problems but when I try to open the "Editor" from "Settings->Editor" nothing happens.. i can open the "Classes file" and "Text" options without problems but i cannot open the Editor option.. I used snoopy to see what was wrong and I discovered that there is a FAIL about the chooser.gadget so I checked my system and I have it inside my Sys:classes/gadgets dir and its version is: chooser.gadget 53.21

So what do I need to make it work?

The FAILs in your Snoopy log are not for the gadget itself, but GetVars for the ENV: variable(s) which can optionally store preferences for the gadget, as well as some Opens for the gadgets.catalog. They can safely be ignored.

So whatever the problem is, it's not logged in this Snoopy log.

There no OpenLibrary calls in that log, try enabling that so you can see what gadgets might be mssing (most likely cause IMHO)

I have checked and the OpenLibrary function, under Exec Function, is selected.. what can I check with Snoopy to see what's wrong?
