Deleting complete pixel lines in ImageFx4?

I have never figured out how to delete in ImageFX4 complete pixel rows in the _middle_ of the picture (not at the top or the bottom) so that the size of the picture will similtaneously decrease.

Is there any SIMPLE way to do that? Using copy and paste is too tedious and inaccurate on a small screen...

@Gregor,

There is no simple way to do it as it's not a simple thing to do, or a common image manipulation operation.

YOu might script it with arexx,

You would need to duplicate the buffer, crop the top half, crop again below the pixels you want to lose and then adjust the sizes and offsets before flattening the result.

That's what I was afraid of... Do you know any other program (Amiga or Linux) which could do the trick? I already had a quick look on Gimp but did not find that type of command.

That does not work if the pictures you mainipulate are not similar enough... You should then make a custom script for each file.

Maybe layer -> transformation -> offset (with activated wrap around) to move the lines in the middle of the picture to the outside. Then normal crop. Then reverse offset.

Roll transformation by half the total vertical pixels. Then crop. Then roll back.
