Software News : SpeakRangeTester
Posted by Alkaron on 2009/6/16 20:06:22 (1625 reads)
Software News

This program is designed for testing the frequency response of a speaker
or any other audio equipment such as filters, amplifiers, etc.

It works by sending out (playing) sinus waves at one frequency at a time
and then meassure the input magnitude from for example a microphone for
each frequency. When it has tested a specified range it will stop and
draw a graph or diagram with deciBell versus frequency to let you see
and analyse the frequency response curve.

Amiga Events : Version 1.1 of Allegro released (and games)
Posted by Hitman on 2009/6/13 22:05:06 (2115 reads)
Amiga Events

After months of promises to Spot that I would release an updated version of Allegro, I finally got around to it. It's much more advanced and stable now, which is something that users will notice because it allows Spot to start releasing lots more games. The release games were just a "taster" to go along with the early version 1.0 of Allegro.

Software News : Bounty for JIT enabled E-UAE for AmigaOS4.1
Posted by Troels on 2009/6/9 14:45:34 (2385 reads)
Software News

E-UAE on AmigaOS4.1 (and MorphOS) supports only interpretive emulation and is quite slow compared to f.ex. winUAE.
What's needed is JIT 68K code emulation to speed things up.
Especially AmigaOS4.1 users with slower machines will gain a lot from a JIT version of E-UAE.

As the JIT will automatically become open source, other PPC platforms will also be able to benefit from it.
