Poplace holder custom class error in Simplemail

Open and check emails fine in SimplMail on my X1K using FE but if I try to go into settings get "Popplaceholder custom class is mising"? Never had this issue before installing FE

That class was missed in the old MUI version availible on Final Edition CD, but since then the class was backported native. try to install the latest version of MUI4

thanks, installed the latest MUI4 version and now when I go to settings I get immediate guru instead of the above requester??
also, when i start SimpleMail it takes me 10 minutes to load up all my previous emails before I can start sending emails out?

Exactly the same behaviour here : no way to get to the settings menu, it crashes immediatly

MUI4 has a public bugtracker (https://muidev.de/newticket) and also a big fat petition to report any bugs there on the very first page of MUI prefs. Is it really that hard to actually USE that bugtracker, instead of asking questions here? Even if an issue is confirmed by other users this will not fix the bug automagically as long as we don't know about it. And if there is a crash then at least the crashlog MUST be provided. Simply stating "it crashes" or "it doesn't work" is NOT enough and won't help anybody.

Anyway, I just fixed this issue. The next nightly build of MUI4 will include a fixed Popplaceholder.mcc. At least it does not crash any longer on AmigaOS3 for me anymore.

But please use the bugtracker IMMEDIATELY next time. Don't expect us to skim each and every forum for possible bug reports.

btw, I personally find that posting here gives me insight on what the problem is and many times it's a Simple fix and not a 'bug' per se. Once confirmed by other Amigans that it may be a bug then I will try to visit if a 'bug tracker' exists and if so post it.
that's why sites like this exist thankfully after all and why I frequent it often
