Just be a crazy bitch, and complain about anything you find that you don't like, that is what the best beta testers do. Only two rules stay on topic and be polite. In addition, if some say something you do not agree with then say so. Any way I think most of the bugs are fixed, but there are some minor things to fix.

Thanks.
Got it. So far so good.
No glitches and some of my 720p movies that lost av sync seem better now.
Prometheus trailer still has severe av sync issues.
Works well with odyssey, smtube, mplayergui etc.

Odyssey doesn't use mplayer, it has it's own version built in.

Ok, you found an exception, but even then it's still nothing to do with odyssey as you're just running mplayer with a url provided by a script instead of typing it in.

"Works well with odyssey" is very misleading as the new MPlayer will make no difference to odysseys own embedded video playback.

I start videos from guide files created by a couple of sripts I put up on os4depot. Just think of the amount of excretia that would impact a well known air flow accelerator if I claimed the new MPlayer works well with MultiViewer

Thanks for the new release, finally we can test it
Just a note: in the "none-altivec" archive you should rename also the exe of MPlayer as now it is called as "altivec"

Aniway some very quick betatesting and still some problems:

1 - Screenshot functionality from menu:

The screenshot menu should grab a frame of a video, not the entire workbench screen, please fix it

2 - cgx_wpa driver:

Well i have no output now and it doesn't work anymore on my Sam440 with a R200 gfx card, please fix it !

3 - p96_pip driver:

Well also in this driver still some various problems to solve

a - The OSD sliders and text are not correctly centered in p96 driver, also if you put a video in fullscreen the OSD position will be even worse ...

b - Maybe would be better to erase the "(PIP)" reference in the title area of the video window, sure one day the best thing to do would be to change this "fixed string" with a proper video's path (this in all drivers)

c - All MP4 videos have problems with the audio (i can hear a lot of horrible glitch in background)

d - Some FLV files still broken, you can see it if you put them in fullscreen (but they seems fine in window mode)

See the "test_video.flv" file linked at:

It be nice if you used official support forums, I have created, after 10 post here your comment will be long forgotten.

I'm going to copy your comment, and re-post it, where it should be.

I will answer the things that don't need fixing here, as do not need to follow up on it

This due to lack of working filters, even when filters where working, screenshots filter was broken, so I decided to implement it my own way. Anyway the menu item says "screenshot", not frameshot

CGX_WPA is dead.

WPA is in compliance with the "New unified graphics library with RTG support". WPA requires AmigaOS4.1 Final.

Well a lot of AltiVec optimizations head to be disabled in this files, due to some bug that made films green, this is problem with all FFMPEG's newer or equal to 2.5.x.

libavcodec/ppc/h264dsp.c:791:ff_h264dsp_init_ppc
libavcodec/ppc/h264chroma_init.c:59:ff_h264chroma_init_ppc

To test mplayer under extreme conditions I use Sentel movie.
https://durian.blender.org/download/

I do not expect it to work perfect, stress test is always needed to check if I made improvements or not.
I'm not working on codecs.

Tested your latest beta 657.

Sorry to report here, but it's easier that on database-org.com

-no more green avatars, great (if i understand well, you fallback to older ffmpeg, right ?)

-still problem with webm container (I know, I have to and I use -vo comp instead of comp_yuv2 to avoid this problem)

-new "problem", when a window is in front of MPlayer in Pause mode and that you move MPlayer window, the in front window is overlayed to MPlayer.
It disappears when mplayer video is played again.
Not a real problem, but in beta650 version, this problem is not present.

Has anyone else seen the "AHI:sound format 28 not supported by this driver" output from mplayer?

Happens intermittently on 6.5.6 and 6.5.7
It happens less often following a reboot, so I suspect something in my system is getting corrupted during use.

I will post a few videos here when I see it again.
