TommySammy, Samo79 and Gerograph, mails or PM sent.
Thank you for your hexglass feedback, sure I didn't test that ;). I will see if I can do something.
i tried too synkron, hoping to have a rsync like tool. It compiles well... But it seems that synchronization of files is not very good. Files are well copied but the program about no copy executed and when I change a file in the source directory, the change is not detected.... Must a extra work to adapt it to AmigaOS
I have more success with LightTasks a little tool to account your time spent on different tasks (must be useful to realize how much time we waste on our Amigas ;)
But strange, on MacOS (Qt4.7 PPC home build) no problem to compile, and here on my X1000, i complained about a "call of overloaded ‘QString(xxxxx)’ is ambiguous" for QString::number function. i replaced it with some standard sprintf calls and it works but it's strange... Some change needed too to detect the close gadget click (otherwise, program was just amidocked, without way to exit)
Alfkil, you can notice too the lines in the PushbButton (not here on my Mac)
Alfkil, just a heads up, all apps that take advantage of amidock crashes amidock here. ATM i am on the ipad so i can't link you to a specific project, but i will the next time i stumble into it.
Ok folks, I am going away for a week, so I will not be able to respond to inquiries about Qt or test any apps. Sorry! I hope you can all keep yourself busy, and I promise to attend to the issues raised here when I get back the following monday in August. Cheers!
about Locale detection The following code returns "Fr" on my Mac but "C" on my Amiga... Strange, I'm therefore not able to select the good "catalog" file.
Hard - I assume. I did some research in Qt themeing during the first beta phase of Alfkil's port and must admit that I got lost somewhere... From what I understood it's more coding than graphics work to make a new Qt theme (like Plastic or Motif). Maybe when I'm bored enough I'll try do to some more in-depth research work here. Maybe Alfkil has some tips where to start and what to do...
The easy part is changing most of the button graphics, 'cos usually they are plain application dependend png images that can be easily echanged with AISS ones...
qOrganizer is really nice - maybe i'll try to use the MySQL feature in the next days. BTW: Hitting the SQLite button leads to a system lockup/crash (the MySQL button doesn't).
SQLite button works here, although I'm not sure how useful it is, personally I'd rather trust the plain text file format.
The MySQL button doesn't work, says it is missing the QMYSQL driver - I'd hazard a guess we don't have that either because Alfkil hasn't ported that bit of Qt, or because it's a 3rd party addition.
Really great. qOrganizer is a really usable tool. And runs very well on my X1000. It is already used as to do list! I am looking at replacing my MS Outlook with it. Here are some problems I encountered. Some problems also occur in the WindowsXP Version (marked with a "*"):

When using native AOS Menu german "Umlaute" (ö,ä,ü,ß) are not shown correctly Reminder works with Ringo and own Messagewindow BUT doesn't play sound Debugwindow should be closed in final release SQLite and MySQL buttons do work!? Haven't tested further When hitting the print button, he asks for etc: and usr: -> if you assign it to ram: it works printing doesn't work (unimportant for me though...) all scrollbars are positioned in the middle, wouldn't it be better to position them on the very right and top side? (e.g. small window/tasklist)* Upload to ftp works, but after that qOrganizer comes with messages, that it cannot save things Downloading from ftp server doesn't work, seems to be a different directory structure qOrganizer expects* Translation is only partwise german? Dates are in English, whereas Months inside the calendar widget are German (see screenshot) Printing doesn't work Tray Icon looks ugly on AOS 4
Everything was tested against the Windows Version.
One more question: could qOrganizer be compiled for Android/Winmobile/iOS or any other mobile OS?
@mods/all Wouldn't it be better, to establish a new thread for every qtPort? I am feeling a bit offtoppic here.
Also all the menu shortcuts are RAmiga-A! (in English, not sure if this is the same in German)
Yes, they are except File/Open (A-Y), File/Quit (A-Q) and File/Print (A-D) => File/Print = Datei/Drucken => A-D seems logic there.

Printing
Well it generates a pdf or ps file. But instead of letters I have a black rectangle. I'll investigate on that, might be font related?
EDIT:
Printing: I used native Amiga Font rendering. If you use default option (qt based font rendering), printout is great! I donnot have GRIM Reaper, when printing, all fine! I am using zzd10h version...
Sound: Maybe Ringo could work around that? There might be another workaround?
