Hi all i have a sam440ep and i have been playing quake II on it it works well but i get a lot of flickering any ideas as to why?

@carvedeye here on my A1SE too I got really many flicker(exactly something like a weird zoom in zoom out effect...)... No solution found here unfortunately... Maybe someone can help us :) I've Radeon9250

@all Did you use old version of quake2 or new one (done few weeks ago by xeron) ? Also its flickering in software rendering, or in hardware ?

Check your monitor tooltype, make sure it has INTERRUPT=Yes and not INTERRUPTS=Yes

@carvedeye Have you tried using Capehill's port of Quake 2? Works fine here, even with h/w rendering.

im getting a green screen? That is problem of old warp3d drivers, which was fixed already in the newer updates of OS. Looks like you use or plain os4, or aos4.1 without updates (there was 2 more updates for).

@kas1e well i have updated my system to update 1 & 2 i have created the quake2/baseq2 driectory and copied the pak files to it but when i start quake 2 up i get a grey screen (for about 10 -15 seconds) and the nthe loading scren appears of which it will just freeze?

@carvedeye I personally never have any "grey screen problems" (because i have pegasos2), but as far as i remember, all those "grey screen" problems was fixed year ago. Maybe you have old minigl.library (on os4depot more or less new one) ? Or maybe when you update your os, you forget to copy Warp3d drivers/libs/etc ?

@carvedeye PS: If the screen goes grey, please set the gl_mode in config.cfg to zero( set gl_mode ""0"") If you use FastFileSystem set the buffer to 1500. from the Quakeworld site...

@annthracks where can i find the config file and how do i change it and how do i change the buffer? sorry im still a very big noob with the OS :)
