@IsMarty : My LCD is 4/3 so 640x480 give a true spheric ball :) There'll be display setting selection on screen blanker so the ball should no more be distorded :p

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
Looks very nice, but, gamma of the ball itself are too bit "not true color" ? Maybe add some kind of fog/light for the ball itself , and make red/white colors a bit more "smooth/true-colors like" ?
@kas1e Concerning the last snapshot, on the ball are applied :
1. Light 0 = Ambient light (directional) with diffuse white and ambient dark grey with specular set. 2. Light 1 (top left) as yellow one (spot, position light).
That's why color on the ball is not the same than on the background ... But lights are applied in real-time on the ball ...
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
I mean that colors itself of boing-ball are looks like 256 colors textures (i mean not that they different, but just like color of ball looks a bit "outdated" initially. I mean texture itself). It's like flat color, and not gradietn (which looks better imho). But that is imho of course, and not big deal :)
btw, maybe also "shadow" are missted here, and because of it, all looks like "not in the depth".
@Kicko & Kas1e : I have made more complex textures but some peoples complained on the fact that is was not the default boing ball.
I've updated the demo file with 3 .exe files ... each with a different texture. If someone have a good texture to submit, feel free to send it ;) Feel free to give your opinion concerning the available versions.
Tested. They all looks nice , but i personally prefer Relief one.
Btw, if you will make it as real screen-blanker, then imho you just can add all of this to the "module preferences" menu. And lets user choice any look, any screen lesolution and alt.
@kas1e It's what is planed but changing this to screen blanker seem a bit obscur ... Many structures, functions ... but no sample that use MiniGL/OpenGL ..
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

I once heard that there are people in this world who only buy touch tone phones because rotary ones aren't available any more.
If you're going to make a "modern" boing-ball blanker/demo, then make it completely modern. Putting the old boing-ball in front of a 24-bit backdrop would look out of place, IMHO. You'll just have to accept that not everyone will like it.
The relief was better looking but the background picture takes away the eys from the boingball. It should be something darker so you concentrate on the ball more :) But ofcourse if we can change background thats no problem.
