Screen Blanker dev

Hi,

I'd like to know how I can make an executable being used as a screen blanker under Amiga OS 4 and how I can make the configuration page for the screen blanker.
I'm sure it has something to do with :
mainint myargcchar** myargv )

Is there some docs available somewhere ?

Soonly, the firsts AmiDARK Engine 's screen blanker (s) ;)

Kindest Regards,
AmiDARK.

What you have quoted is the first line of just about every C program.

I would suggest that you take a look on OS4Depot and Aminet. There are bound to be one or more screen blankers with source already there. You could read the way that someone else has done it and modify it for your own use.

cheers

OS4.x Screenblankers are Libraries... and Libraries don't have a main() function.

If you already know how to create a Library, simply download one of RWOs Blankers and use it as a starting point.

Thank for your question

I have rebuilded the 3D objects drawing method to include support for limbs (and soonly animations ).
Limbs commands/functions are now done and working.

I have also rebuilded the internal image system to handle both user image and image loaded by 3D models in some sort of separate data banks.

now the system is more flexible and extensible in many ways.

I must finish Load/Save Objects and I'll release a new alpha of the engine.

EDIT : I have updated www.amidark-engine.com to show the new commands availablle (command list increased :p )

Kindest Regards,
AmiDARK.

I still wait when it will be support sound, to make a demo over your engine :)

Btw, maybe it's to early to ask, but , when you will add music support, can you also add any functions that allow you to get frequencies of the music? Like in FMOD library. (that help when you want to sync music with graphics in good way. Like put on the "bass" part, stretch of screen , etc).

Firstly, I will add commands/functions like the ones from DarkBASIC Professional & DarkGDK.
If you want specific command set to be added in AmiDARK Engine, feel free to send me an e-mail at fred ( at ) amidark ( minus ) engine ( dot ) com
and I'll keep it in a case for when I will be in that part of the development of the engine.

These kind of requests will "maybe" be added as TPC ( Third Party Command ) and not directly in the main command set.

Kindest Regards,
AmiDARK.
