yes, renaming only seems to work for the current session.. after you log back in again, it resets to whatever the persons actual display name is. and I dont know whY!! argh!! hehe
I might look into it soon. i'm making too many promises lately.
OK, what happened with MSNP11 was, one day something changed, and after you issue an SBP command, the timestamp on the MSN's own database of your contacts is not updated.
So, now you're meant to update your own database file yourself, internally when you do an SBP.
It wasn't always that way though.. but it's standard behaviour now and not a bug in SabreMSN or AmiMSN. Just something missing we have to add.
Edit: On a further note, anyone to test "something" with me in about 6 hours?
I'm going to be looking into webcam streams. If it's sent as a stream mplayer can handle, without the data being in some random order, I should be able to just stream it straight to mplayer.
Though I think audio and video streams are sent as 2 separate streams simulataneously.
If I have more than 1 tab opened (say i'm chatting with 2+ friends in the same time) I don't know when a friend write to me a message so I need to verify time to time if someone write to me somethings, would be nice to have some alert (maybe changing automatically the color of the tab when a contact write somethings or playing a sound, both solution would be the best)
Mmm not always expecially when I have another apps above the Sabre window, i'll check it now i'm on OSX, maybe i'm wrong, aniway when I receive a message I would prefer an highlighted tab over the sound, if we can have both is better
The MSNP2P file transfer implementation that will be worked into SabreMSN is the same one I have going in AmiMSN at the moment.. so bug testers would be nice, it'd help jahc and I both.
