Wasn't this site supposed to be private for the time being? I wonder if someone's been spilling the beans. Me? I'm just happy to have an Amiga site to congregate and not have to worry about the "splinter cells". :)

@Sauron It's good to have a few people in before launch day, then when we launch there is something to read already and it encourages people to register. That's my view anyway. Word of mouth advertising is a very powerful thing, as Commodore knew (although in their case it was mostly just be because they couldn't be bothered to do any proper advertising).

I'm not sure they couldn't be bothered, more over they didn't have a clue when it came to marketing.
Only at the end, when the CD32 came out, did they start getting their act together and doing some daring stuff - by then of course, it was too late.
If they had advertised the A1200 in 92 when it came out then that would have helped, but we all know their PCs killed them - ironic really

@Rudie
I remember there being adverts for the A1200 being on TV in the UK Circa 92/93, however I can't remember if the adds were C= ads, or department store type ads just mentioning the A1200. The CD32 ad was amazing and when I got my CD32 I watched the CDXL anim over and over and over again
mmmm so many colours

Do you remember the "to be this good will take Sega Ages" billboard next to Sega HQ in London? Priceless! Rude!

Ironically, I finally tracked down the vague references to a new site by reading it on Moo Bunny, after doing a google search for "MikeyC" and "website." It mmight be the first time I've ever found something really useful on the bunny.
