I use 1680x1050 here with a widescreen LCD I recieved for my birthday, no problems. The latest Wesnoth version works very nicely in this resolution.

3D doesn't work, period (or use the search fonction).

I won't answer on both sides every time for each question, make your choice

If I should get answers similar to "3D doesn't work, period" again please don't bother to answer at all.

Somewhere I saw the 9000 comes with 64MB of gfx memory. Is that enough for OS4.1?

I have the exactly same model that Swisso reports here but with 128MB.
Performance (WB with compositing @32bit) is great. Ocassionally I get to 60MB free ram.
Apps: cygnix display@16bit, AWeb@32bit + 5-8 windows on WB wcreen.

Edit: resolution=1280x1024, dvi output.

Personally, I would go for the 256MB Radeon 9250, even though it may be a tad slower (would you really even notice?), but that extra 128MB will probably serve you well after OS 4.1.

Search for "Radeon+8500+Rogue" and you'll probably find where he comments on the subject.

The problem being that they couldn't get the coordinates to give the correct numbers in 3D. 2D works fine. But as MorphOS got it working I suppose
giving it some development time would fix the problem.

The latest comment on the subject being in this thread
on AW.net.

anyway a 256MB one will only show 128 MB under OS 4.1

That is a bug, future updates of OS4.1 will use 256MB.

Uhh, so that's why I only have around 50MB of gfx mem free on average! Well, good then, so the compositing is actually only using about 80MB, not 200MB..

I have a Sapphire 9250 PCI 256MB and it works great in OS 4.1. DVI is supported and yes, widescreen resolutions are possible by adding the MODE= tooltypes in the monitor file.

I think you would be happy with the 9250 256MB version :)

WHats the difference in the DVI Version?
