In these cases, I use Diskpart on Windows to clean the disk.
On the startup icon, search for "Diskpart, run as administrator," then type "List Disk." It will display the disks currently installed on Windows. Make sure to choose the correct disk!
Then choose the disk you want to clean and type "Select Disk with its corresponding number." As soon as Diskpart indicates that the disk is selected, type "Clean," and it will clean it.
Your disk will be completely blank.
1) Diskpart, run as administrator 2) List disk, enter 3) select disk #, enter 4)clean, enter.
