Hi,

if you can access YouTube, there is a tutorial

starting form minute 4:36 it explains how to partition and format the drive.

If it does not help, we be al here in the forum.

You can choose between Standard filesystem", SFS\00, SFS\02 and NGF\00.

Until the newer NGF is released, my suggestion is to choose SFS\00,that's what the author of the filesystem advised on the forums. Unless, as he said, you want to store single files bigger than 2GB on your system partition, in that case choose SFS\02.

Ok. Not having much luck here.
After formatting as suggested earlier, when booting up, all that happens is this: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8en4t0c ... 6kr2khkz&st=dbxjcf0w&dl=0
Any suggestions?

If your USB drive is also named DH0, that might be the problem.

Rename your drive to DH00.

I encountered this problem yesterday and today because my boot partition wouldn't boot anymore.

And I noticed that there can be conflicts between the drive or backup disk if they have the same device name.

Then, once you've successfully installed a system on your drive, you can rename it to DH0 if you wish.

Without losing any data on it.

I will give that a try. The only problem is, when i disconnect the HDD, i can then load Workbench from my Thumb drive USB. However the Workbench does not recognise the HDD when i connect it to rename it :(

In these cases, I use Diskpart on Windows to clean the disk.

On the startup icon, search for "Diskpart, run as administrator," then type "List Disk." It will display the disks currently installed on Windows. Make sure to choose the correct disk!

Then choose the disk you want to clean and type "Select Disk with its corresponding number." As soon as Diskpart indicates that the disk is selected, type "Clean," and it will clean it.

Your disk will be completely blank.

1) Diskpart, run as administrator
2) List disk, enter
3) select disk #, enter
4)clean, enter.
