@TiredOfLive It should be black window (not black screen) on which writen "loading models (0/689)", and counting. Once models done and cache file created (taked about 2 mins on x5k), the loading of sounds another 15 sec, and then game starts. Next runs models cache will be used and all will be fast.
If not then i need .barony/log.txt, so we will see what happens

Through still strange that you have no output to console, while TiredofLive have.. Maybe you had some specific settings for console ? In s:shell_startup or something ?

Did you run Barony from sfs ? Have you notice any micropauses when walk ?
