I cannot help but think that you should release this on Amistore as well. It seems that they are doing rather well by Amiga standard, so it would surely bring in more sales. Keep on selling the boxed version as preorders but release on Amistore when it is ready.

@Rogue It is a must-buy for me even at 500, so any price lower than that is just a nice bonus...

This is a must buy for me... Since becoming a father my MicroA1 has been packed away making room for the baby - but a laptop would bring Amiga back to my everyday life! When can I preorder? Oh, and what price did SSolie mention?

@Thematic Yeah, I just saw that as well and it may a bit much to ask you to fix our Java situation! I am still looking for a way to run Colonization native on OS4.1 but your port of Freeciv will provide me with loads of entertainment!

This looks like another quality product from Jens! I would still like to see this man tackle the challenge of building a new PPC-Amiga from scratch. He could probably make use of the Clone-A project to provide it with the AGA chipset, which perhaps would make it more of an "AMIGA" in most people's eyes Oh well, as long as he keeps making quality like this!

Indeed! I would love to see fresh well working Amiga versions of FreeCol, FreeCiv, WideLands and 0AD! I would donate for these ports, if that helps with the motivation!

@Rigo Thanks! I will try that - when I click on the Amiupdate icons in the dock - another rotating icon appears - again, this is suppose to happen, right? BTW - Great software! It's usually the first thing I click when I boot the Amiga!

Amiupdate worries

I finally got around to installing the new Amiupdate. During the installation it said that it could not find a "install-something" 53.5+ even though it was present in the archive. It finished the installation and when I tried to boot the program it kept asking for the same file so I made sure it was in libs as well. After a reboot it worked nicely with no complaining. However, it find no new files to update and when I checked the prefs it showed that there was no servers in the server list. Is this all normal?

My AmigaONE when the X1000 comes...

I have been thinking a bit about this... If I can afford - and justify - buying the X1000 this coming summer, my trusty Micro will not be used anymore. So I have given some thought to these solutions... 1. I could sell directly to another user. 2. A dealer - perhaps Amigakit - could take my Micro as trade-in discount for the X1000 and sell it refurbished. I believe a Micro could still be an interesting machine for some people. I have put 512 meg in mine and with a new graphics card, well 3. I could do a Trevor and offer it free to a developer in exchange for some nice and brand new software for OS4. Well, that's the options, really. What do you guys think? Have you thought about giving your "old" AmigaONE up, when the new machine is here?

Is nobody interested in a good strategy game anymore? Is it really all about 3d and shooters?

I just need Civilization 2 or 4... And to have Colonization running seemlessly and native... Throw in Europa Universalis 2 or 3, and I'll be all set!

@Amigo1 Really nice idea - and reply. I just filled out a request and pointed them to www.a-eon.com. Can't hurt and it would be nice to have support for AmigaOS in the future!

I would probably buy this as well although I know nothing about programming at all! But I would support it! Also, it would be nice to have an official guide book for OS4.1 or OS4.2 There was a german book for OS4 at one point... or was it 3.9... hmm...
