Apparently, the Vista launch wasn't as big a deal as Microsoft had hoped: http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070130/D8MVNU800.html

I'd loved to have been at the head of that queue and be interviewed.

"Install Vista ? Why on Earth would I want to contaminate perfectly good hardware?".

Are we nearly there yet ?

Actually, that's a tumbleweed, I think. Not much cover, though.

No,No,No you have it all wrong Outcast, you say I have actually been running Vista Pro on my Amiga for years, I don't need to drop back to an inferior version

People are still trying to get over the Win98 to XP converstion and aren't keen on another lump of pain with a vista upgrage. "How many of my other apps are going to break this time?" On top of that, it doesn't seem to run great on systems under 2ghz with less than a gig of memory and a modern video card. Millions would have to buy a whole new computer just to run it. Then there's the DMR thing. Vista is going to be slow to catch on compared to other releases. ('Cept for maybe Millineum, or Microsoft MOM. Those were big stinkers too.)
