Mixer source code released on OS4Depot
Just popping in

See User information
Davy Wentzler has uploaded the source for Mixer as no longer has time to work on this as he's kept busy with Audio Evolution.

http://os4depot.net/?function=showfil ... udio/misc/mixersource.lha

Tempted to have a go at doing something with this myself. Personally I think it's pretty good already, anyone like to suggest any new features that would be useful?

I'm thinking a Mixer docky might be nice.

One suggestion: Show a numerical dB value under each volume slider, because currently you have to move a slider before it's value is shown (by which time you have already changed it, so you can't move it back to exactly where it was!). Or make the dB value shown by a Help bubble when you hover the mouse over it.

Another suggestion: Add an Undo/Cancel button, which looses any changes you have made since opening the window.

I really like the idea of a Mixer docky for the main volume :)

This is what I think should be done,

I think the application should be divided in to parts.

* Mixer.device
* Mixer soundcard plugins for Mixer.device
* Mixer Gui

I think the device should be able to do.

* Query device list
* Set volume for etch sound channel
* Get volume for etch sound channel

Exactly my thoughts

I already wanted to to create an item there yesterday evening but i couldn't

@all interested

The MUTE setting is not saved, it will be gone after a restart/reboot and the setting of 0 (dragging the slider to the bottom) is not the same as MUTEing the channel, as i can still here noise when pulling up the volume and moving windows around, which will be completely gone with MUTE

oh and i'd like to be able to get rid of the skin limitations, but thats of course no priority

Okey.

Anyone who wants to be assigned to it? (upload to svn and such)

Would like to tackle the docky part as have been learning how to write these and could use a project now to make a useful one. However, don't really have the time or skills to tackle all the other suggestions alone at present.

Well, just register to openamiga.org and I'll add you as a member to the project.

Someone will still have to upload the sources to the svn though.

It would be nice if "equalizer" features could be added.

Equalizer can not be built in to the Mixer,
Mixer only sets the volume levels and that's all.

An Equalizer is some thing that has to be implemented on top of AHI.
