Most unexpected, perhaps unwelcome snail mail you've ever received?

Today (after having left it untended for a few days) I went to my mailbox at the end of the street (apartment complex; I guess mailboxes at our door is too expensive). Among the junk I found a contact from the electric company addressed to my apartment, but with someone else's name, and marked "new occupant". I haven't gotten any eviction notices, but do you think they're trying to tell me something? I dropped that letter, along with my next month's rent, into the apartment office's drop box, with a reminder written on the letter that I still live there.

I'm posting this just in case.

There are several factors that are leaving me quite frightened at the moment, and if my fears are realized, this will be my last post here for quite some time. I don't expect that to be the case, but I am frightened enough that I am posting this just in case. If anyone needs to know more, I have uploaded a simple, unadorned Chat to the Chats directory on my website. It's not even linked in to the 5 most recent list, nor is it announced in the blog, but you can get it from the Chats directory. To top it off, in my daily Bible reading, today I begin reading Lamentations.

Anyway, I hope to be back real soon?like tonight. In spite of all, one must still go to work.

Yeah!

Events certainly had me worried. Now, however, I have uploaded another Chat, in an effort to allow people to use my situation to apply to their own lives. It is possible that another will be forthcoming on the matter of reading into situations what is not there.

/me wipes his brow, relieved.

In comparison to all the unpleasant email that I receive every day, the snail mail is usually very acceptable. I even don't mind about the bills!

But have you ever received a snail mail like the following? I guess not! This can only be caused by anonymous internet spammers!

That's where Earthlink's lovely little suspect email folder comes in. If they aren't in my personal address book, they don't get in my inbox.

Oh you are lucky! I have a spam folder, but sometimes personal emails from friends are classified as SPAM.
That's why I always have to go through the emails in my spam folder to see if they are really SPAM.
It feels like wading through the mud! Mud being words like penis, vagina, anal, free sex, and such...
I can't believe how anybody can react to that SPAM or click on any of the links.

It gives a certain peace of mind. I no longer have to wade through all that trash, though I do scan quickly through the "from" fields for the occasional person who gets stranded over there (normally from a mailing list I'm part of, but those are easy to pick out because they identify themselves fairly easily; nothing a computer would recognize, mind you, but humans are far more intricate than any computer will ever be).

Don't feel bad about snailmail. The holidays slowed it down alot this year. The other day went to the box and had a rather large stack to deal with.

Lately I've taken to doing the mailbox trek about once a week. That way I get my bills on time and I don't have to weed through the junk every day.
