if i remember right, scala works with pal resolution, check drivers/monitor to see what you have inside an please tell us what resolution you use for your workbench
never seen something like that. but it seems it is some kind of gfx or productivity screen. as nubechecorre said already scala is made for pal, but if i remember right could open editor on another resolution. pal is default though, maybe you have some screen promotion commodity set?
Nope Scala does work with NTSC, we use MM210 at the TV studio on a 2000. I installed that copy on my machine but it could not find the key (I tried both ports).
I aslo tried this on an emulator and it worked just fine but i do think the settings said PAL)
I take it you're not cosy with the shell or using a file directory untility to explore the Sys: dir?
I was just going to suggest look around and see if there is a config file somewhere that you could delete or rename or possibly even use cygnused to view it or hex edit it etc...
Funny, I have about 5 copies of Scala but I always preferred to use AmigaVision, but that was only because I got thrown it one day in the local cpu shop... "take that home and learn how to use it, you need to tutor someone in the weekend on how to use it" LOL
Yes, I used to tutor people on the Amiga and threw it in when I started going out with people and setting up there machines and instructing them on what was what from ground zero...
not very satisfying ;)
~Yes I am a Kiwi, No, I did not appear as an extra in 'Lord of the Rings'~ 1x AmigaOne X5000 2.0GHz 2gM RadeonR9280X AOS4.x 3x AmigaOne X1000 1.8GHz 2gM RadeonHD7970 AOS4.x
i'll look around btw the menus look ok in the 210 version but it is useless as it cant find the key, I don't think Scala's technical support could help me.
I'm not 100% sure but some of my Scala versions come with hardware dongles.
Plug into joystick port.
How come you're not running a err, ummm... more user friendly version? What is this key thing?

yea its red and plugs into the joystick port. I plugged it in and it really couldn't find it. (Ver. MM210) (The Key works fine on another A2000)
Well i took my sorta functioning A2000 and a friends old non-working A2000 and made a working A2000!
I installed the more friendly version of Scala(MM400) on it and it shows the full width but still scrolls vertically. Where as the CD32 shows about 3/4 of the horz and scrolls the vert.
