If all goes well the next version should be able to write an AVI wrapper around the stream and hopefully the remaining player problems will disappear.Explains why I can't get anything to play the files. What program Amiga or otherwise can play them or convert them to something playable?

I've just uploaded SRec v0.7. This version uses avilib from mkvtoolnix for outputting XviD encoded .avi files. As a result the files should be compatible with many more players. I already tried MPlayer and VLC (on PC) and they both played the test recording without problems.

@salass00 I got srec (0.7) to crash not giving any command line options (null pointer).

@TSK There was a " = NULL" missing on a pointer variable. I've fixed it now and uploaded a new version. Thanks for the bug report.

SRec 0.13 I've added a Motion JPEG video encoder that can be used now instead of the default XviD one. It's specially optimised for 15/16-bit modes and is slightly faster than the XviD codec when using a highcolour display.
I haven't tried a truecolour display yet so I don't know how well/badly it does in that case. Probably not so well.

@salass00 This project seems to be going well. I just wish Acube would hurry up with the backplate for Sam, so I could test the audio element easily. Might have to see what I can do in the meantime.

I'm waiting for it too. AFAIK it should also fix the VGA output, which using the adapter is a little less than perfect.
I can't use DVI because the PC doesn't have DVI ports and neither does my KVM switch.

SRec 1.1 with GUI. It also has AmiUpdate support now, so future updates will be downloadable with AmiUpdate.
