More verbose error strings?

Hi,

Is it possible to have error messages say exactly which file is missing.
Now, it just says "File is missing" without saying which.

If you mean missing shared objects: No.

elf.library displays the error requester, if something is missing the program isn't started and therefore can't check itslef if everything is there or display a requester with the name(s) of the missing shared objects.

Hi Elwood,

First off, I totally, totally agree!

Isn't that something that the author of a program would have to program in themselves? Can't understand why after ALL the effort a programmer puts into bringing their masterpiece to life, they ignore doing something as simple as that?

No, elf.library does everything. The author of a program using shared objects doesn't have to, and can't, do anything himself.
