Warzone2100 , v4.7.0 (7 Apr 2026) on Mesa

This is a port I've been working on for the past few days. Performance-wise, if you don't like getting around 30-40 FPS
in heavy scenes and prefer something closer to 100 FPS, disable VSync
and shadows.



Because the data files are huge, you'll need to do some manual work.

How to install:

1). Download:

-- os4 binary: https://kas1e.mikendezign.com/aos4/mesa/warzone2100.lha
-- data files: https://github.com/Warzone2100/warzone ... e2100_win_x86_archive.zip
-- additionally, if you want the campaign videos (although you can play without them),
download the sequences.wz file. Choose whichever quality you prefer:

High Quality (965 MB): https://github.com/Warzone2100/wz-sequ ... h-quality-en-sequences.wz
Standard Quality (572 MB) : https://github.com/Warzone2100/wz-sequ ... d-quality-en-sequences.wz
Low Quality (170 MB): https://github.com/Warzone2100/wz-sequ ... w-quality-en-sequences.wz

Don't forget to rename file to just sequences.wz.


2). Put everything in place:

-- Unpack the OS4 archive wherever you like.
-- From the previously downloaded warzone2100_win_x86_archive.zip, copy the "data" and "locale" directories.
-- Put the downloaded and renamed sequences.wz file into the same "data" directory where "base.wz" and `mp.wz` are located.

3). Run the game!



Please report any bugs or issues you find, so I can fix them before making the final release on OS4Depot once we're happy with it.

Works well on X1000, screen updates quickly in the early levels tested. Sound in the videos (high Quality) seems scratchy, unsure if a source issue or adecoding issue.

thanks for porting it, i tried on my sam460ex and works well but i'm not able to set italian language...

On Sam460 with Radeon RX 560 and GART activated (same installation as on my X1000 which is working flawlessly), I get an error and all the textures are black (I get only the HUD visible) :

Thanks! Will check what wrong with language switch, and while Sam460 out anyway for any normal FPS in most semi-modern stuff, it still shouldn't crash, will check that one too.
