I.e. bug in code of demo, just by luck/unluck x1000's kernel tolerate it. So those who have crashes, try plz this binary instead of original one, and if all will be ok, will replace archive on os4depot:
I tested it—it's really great in terms of color—averaging 100 fps and never dropping below 60 fps in windowed mode......and yes, the demo is definitely worth playing on the Amiga. Thanks yeahhhhooooooo

@All Found why it fail on SAM460 : missing GART :( Beta version with GART works fine. That can be fixed in 3 ways : in MESA, so to have the same fix i apply for the RadeonHD 3.7 which not have GART, by making SAM460 patch, or by add workarounds to demo.
I tested it right away with the fixed version because I'm familiar with the problem you described and have seen it often in crash logs. It would definitely crash on my system as well.

@javier I hope you not for real :) radeonrx driver with gart for sam boards were done about 2 years ago by Hans, but its AEON-Mattew, so forget about. There other solutions already, soon there will be some more info.
I thought it was about a year ago? i also read it doesn't actually do much for performance on the sam460. Although I suppose if it helps things to actually work, that would be a help.
The latest Enhancer pack with presumably that updated driver was due out before last Xmas as announced by Trevor at AmiWest.
@Javier 2.23 wasn't real latest beta, there were some others after.

Time fly.. Just checked, it was Marth 2025 for beta version with GART enabled for SAM => 1.5 year ago.

It didn't improve situation much, that true , just in some areas. For example some Irrlicht engine examples jumps a bit (like from 20 fps to 25). Or like Cow3D test case. But then Spencer didn't changes at all. Other things where CPU much involved also didn't help. But still, it better, even a bit faster, and, things which need gart works at least.

Hoping it will be ever released after it wasn't for so long mean (for me at least) it will be never released, or, when no one will need it. At least, i didn't hope from anything from AEON-Mattew anymore. Other ones may want to wait some years of course :)
If someday they will release something, good, if not - we will have soon necessary replacements/fixes/whatever.
@All Can any of you who have SAM boards and RadeonRX 2.12, tell me what size of the file you have ? (i need that to know if all of us have the same exactly binary). Thanks a bunch !
@All New one. This time is quite popular German group Farbrausch with their Theta demo:
This is not the best of their ones, but one of good ones. All the info in the readme inside of archive in os4depot, as well as under the video on youtube. But what for sure is that ones who like those demoscene prods, can expect other ones from Farbrausch too, as all the hard work on their engine already done.
Recommended for maximum fps is x1000 and x5000 (to have 60-300fps), sam460 even with gart will be not good: some scenes will be around 50 fps, some will crawl to 10.
@DigitalDesigns I use LGP 2 Plus. It have ability to record 1920x1080, 640x480 and some others: it can save in hardware mp4 on sd card and via usb-to-pc where you can grab by OBS studio. Through when you record on sd card without pc involved and as our drivers didnt have hdmi audio you need to record audio or externaly (i use own ahi live recorder tool) or just via OBS-studio/usb way which i use mostly.
Hehe, awesome. Thank you so much for the new Farbrausch demo—I'm going to check it out tonight with a beer. Great work—I love these demos, and I've always had to watch them on my PC or Mac. Cheers.....
