@turbo41

Thanks for the info. The font I am using must not have the proper Euro symbol. It was like a small square with diagonal lines at each corner. I have now been able to set the pound symbol as the default for currency.

Thanks.

Example: Signal has a version 8.23.0 . Decimals do not work like that, so neither is a decimal point. Of course there are many ways. Pioneer (game) has its recent as 2026-02-03 but at least in the next years it's pretty self–explanatory. Certainly anyone is free to make even unique schemes but I don't see why.

edit: OS4 context, Amiupdate had a 2.9 followed by 2.10 and 2,11, just as expected.

Ok, seems we're on the same page with version numbering on Amiga, then: Using a "Version.revision" format and no further version-elements as you might see on other systems, like "Version.revision.build.revision" numbers.

At any rate, let's not derail this thread with version numbering formats :)

And the key to understanding this is: Don't see the character "." as a decimal point, but instead as an arbitrary delimiter used in version.revision strings. Pronounce them as e.g. "version dot revision".

(BTW, in some places, like Denmark, the decimal delimiter is a comma, not a full stop.)

Best regards,

Niels
