A1222 Plus "P1022ETH" Bad Address Network Output Log
Just popping in

Hi All,

Recently my A1222 Plus started to generate this network output log every time I power off/on or restart my A1222 this alert below:

"May 10 15:43:28 2026 lerrorl: Interface "P1022ETH" configuration failed with station address = (Removed MAC address): C3 5, 1019 Bad address, Unknown SANA-II wire error 10193."

A1222 Plus is connected to my WN2000RPT Netgear WIFI Repeater Ethernet connection.

The troubleshooting I have done so far.

1: Tried all 4x ethernet ports on my WIFI repeater, issue remains.
2. I notice there no activity LED on my front wifi repeater.
3. I notice P1022ETH RJ-45 Port that is above the 2x USB ports is 1x solid green LED but other LED is off.
4. Tried factory reset my wifi repeater, issue remains.
5. Via Shell, shownetstatus, shows 0.0.0.0 IP address on all 4x its ethernet ports.
6. Tried releasing and renewing IP address, issue remains.
7. Tried known good ethernet cable on 4x my wifi repeaters NIC ports, issue still remains.
8. Deleted P1022ETH in Dev/Netinterfaces.
9. And also deleted P1022ETH.report in Internet/Reports drawer.
10.. Created a new LAN profile via DHCP again, issue remains again.
11. Tried the secondary RJ-45 port next.to the 2x USB port at back of A1222, issue still remains.
12. I notice on second RJ-45 port, 1x orange LED but other LED is off.
13. Thinking it my WIFI repeater that is borked up.
14. I reinstall OS4.1 via USB but that same alert appears again without the WIFI repeater connected at all.

Not exactly sure what is going on here?

But its seem my A1222 system is insisting there is a bad address and a SANA-II wire error?

Any advice and help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

P.S, I ideally would like not to use wifi repeater at all and just use a wifi USB dongle instead, are they any compatible wifi USB dongles yet for OS4.1?

Again thank you for any advice and assistance on this too.

@Boabster

I have an A1222 also. I use a Vonets VAR11N. It's both a repeater and a bridge. It works well

For me A1222 network works fine with TP-linh 24-port switch, I am using port 0 ( above USB ) and p1022 device.
I never had your error.

You can also try a1222eth.device instead of p1022eth.device to check if there is some software issue in the driver.

Try both port 0 and port 1 ( most right ).
