Linux Distro for Qemu host?

What are people generally using for their host when messing about with Qemu?

I've done Ubuntu in the past. I've done Arch Linux in the past. Is there any real preference or just anything that has an up to date version of Qemu?

Obviously IOMMU, GPU isolation and passthrough need to be well supported but I think that's more of a system level thing.

I actually want to do some testing with PPC32 linux guests based on e5500 processor but figured people use it here so I'd ask here.

Ubuntu here.

As you said, passthrough is important if using, and having the latest stable QEMU release.

Otherwise, I don't think distro matters.
