Ubuntu here.

As you said, passthrough is important if using, and having the latest stable QEMU release.

Otherwise, I don't think distro matters.

Just wanted to post an update on this.

I configured Amiberry to only use uaenet and disabled bsdscoket. Once that was configured, I installed roadshow using uaenet.

Everything now works including many other network applications that did not previously.

So it appears a full tcp stack is needed for BoingTube plus many more.

Need some help setting this up.

So I followed all the directions and everything appears to work except curl.

I think what's going on is that I am running Amiga under emulation with no network stack. Curl is unable to resolve hostnames at the moment.

Do I require RoadShow, and if so will this break emulation?

Okay now that RunInUAE is installed.

I'm looking to use Term4.8 with Tesler.

I keep getting Tesler is busy. Is there more things I need to do in order for it to work in the emulation? Perhaps I need to install or setup networking?

I ended pulling the binary "dir" from the install cd and installing the cd version of RunInUAE, got that working, then I installed the update, which worked.

I then replaced my backed up "dir" binary.

I'm in business!
