still trying to get Lightwave render screen to work without getting Guru (DSI) screen ???

so got both Layout and Modeller screens loading fine with NewMode..somehow had bad luck with ModePro ?

tried this years ago before FE update when we still ahd P96 etc but now same issue with render screen only this time...last time I couldn't even get in modeller so some progress at least lol

Have you enabled the "Planar screens on RTG" setting in GUI prefs (it's under "Controls")?

I have followed your guide but for some reason the "Allow FakeNative modes" does not stick after saving and rebooting. Any ideas what that is?

I also get the DSI... what I do is I click on "More" and then "Igonore DSI errors".

After that things works. It happens the first time you render. As long as you do not close LW after you have done the "Ignore DSI errors", things should work. The Cybergraphics plugin do display the image.

I have raised a bug to Hyperion for it a few days ago. The change happens, and you can see it in the monitor tooltypes of yours, under the devs:monitors drawer, but it is not reflected correctly at the prefs app.

I was playing with lightwave for the AMIGA/040 in hope to use it for some gfx production for the evening event. I ended up using work from Caveman, Lewis and Paul Kitching.

I was able to get the modeler and LW main program working using MB tutorial but never rendering.

To render I was able to get screemer networking. At first to vertical Amigas on a PC using UAE, the with a copy of LW 5 for the PC. Sadly the render output is different between the two platforms, so mixing system in the screemer network works, the output differences mean you don't get a proper final video.

Using old guides you can configure Lightwave 5 for work with AOS4 with old graphic cards but some things lose when you try to use with RadeonRX or RadeonHD cards. Few months before finally I can configure Lightwave5 on OS4 fully working with preview render feedback, preview animations , rtg out and modeler connection.
I'll try tomorrow make a post here explaining how to config for newer cards.

it is stored in the tooltype but it seems it is not read/used?
at least not with DCC on. according to the releasenotes it should.
