Easyrexx - SOLVED
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

See User information
I have just upgraded to v1.29 of SGrab, from OS4epot.

I previously had v1.28 installed, but when starting v1.29 I get an error "Couldn't create arexx interface".

When I look at the requirements it say's easyrexx.library (optional) for the arexx interface.

I used Find on my A1, and the only instance of easyrexx is in Contributions_OS4Pre/Applications/AudioEvolution4/libs/glue/easyrexx.l.main
Contributions_OS4Pre/Applications/AudioEvolution4/libs/EasyRexx.library

Thses are not installed on my system, and never have been, but SGrab now gives me the error message everytime I start it.

So my questions are:-

1) Do I need to install these two files?
2) How do I install them if they are needed?
3) Is there a switch, or tooltype I can set, if they are not needed to get rid of the error message?

Thanks for any help.

I don't have either of those files installed and SGrab 1.29 doesn't give me any error message...

Maybe it's tooltypes, mine are:-

Quote:
CX_POPKEY="ctrl alt s"
(CX_PRIORITY=0)
CX_POPUP=YES
(DELAY=0)
(MARK)
WINDOW
(WINDOWCONTENTS)
(FILE={2:title}_{size}.{type})
(CLIPUNIT=0)
(NUMBER)
(PUBSCREEN=?)
(ICON=?)
(GRABSCRKEY=?)
(GRABWINKEY=?)
(NOBEEP)
(WINPOS=CENTER|MOUSE|TOP)

Could you compare and see what differences there are. Thanks

Works for me also.

Anway, I've just launched SGrab, and no error message.
Closed it down and launched it again, hey presto, I get the arexx error message.

That's probably because you only closed the GUI part, not the program itself.

To quit SGrab you need to bring up the GUI (using the CX_POPKEY defined on the icon or Commodities/Exchange) and then use "Quit" from the menu or use the "Remove" function in Exchange.

If you do this, there is no error on startup.

You cracked it. I have been closing SGrab using the close window gadget (top left), I didn't realise this only closed the window (doh!) and not the actual program.
All together now, "Whose a silly billy then".
