Can anyone else reproduce this:

- Use MediaVault (or whatever) to load up a podcast using AmigaAMP.
- Let the podcast run for a short while
- Press the pause button

Result:
I see that the podcast does not pause.

This also happens for live radio, which I can understand more if buffering is not implemented

Yes, I can confirm this. I have the exact same behaviour using the newest version of MediaVault along with the new AmigaAMP.
