That's exactly what I'm trying to do. Waiting for AEon to respond. Thanks guys

I wonder, how old is the Radeon HD Lite. Full version is RadeonHD v3 and probably is much more compatible with a wider range of GPUs.

From what i understand radeon v3 doesn't add much in terms of compatibility, it unlocks some more features for nova. The 2.22 version in enhancer plus does a nice job for me with my non-nova capable card.

The boot taking a long time with no card is probably a timeout, the adapter board is probably waiting to hear from any board attached to it and eventually gives up.

Wow, Lite version comes from the Stone Age ;) The question is, does its age affects compatibility?

I thought that, too. Fortunately with one card only everything is back to normal.

Used the Lite version twice to install AmigaOS 4.1FE on two different systems and it worked with the video cards that I was using. Can't remember the exact cards but they would have been Radeon HD 7xxx models.

It is going to be along wait .
And it should be.

Someboy needs to step up or convince an A-Eon Beta tester with a Sam440ep-Flex to test and report results .

As you can see no answers here, nor via email. Similar thread on AW.net-silence. Borrowed HD7750 is waiting. I keep an eye on several RX 550s but thats all. I was hoping ACube at least would ansewer a question. Which Polaris cards they tested with SAM440?
Unfortunately, no reaction. No Lite driver, either....

Do you have a working A-Eon Enhancer or Enhancer Core installation and working Amistore installation ?
If so I am willing to "gift" you the drivers via Amistore.

Thank you very much for your very nice offer, but really AEon should come up with the offer of help. My idea of professionalism in running the company does not allow me to accept your generous offer. This is another proof that we have a great community, but unfortunately not companies. Thank you again :)

PS. I understand Amiga market constraints, but certain minimum conditions must be met. Therefore, I will only buy ES if these conditions are met. Same goes for A1222 in the future ....

I see you point of view.
However I spend alot of time and effort with my Sam440ep-flex beta testing and experimenting 5 years ago to get to this point.
My Sam died so I cant cross the finish line myself but I would like to see someone cross it.

No worries. I haven't given up hope yet;) I've already received a lot of information from you and HD7750 from a very helpful Polish betatester :) Unfortunately, as far as I remember, someone on AW.net already wrote that HD7750 with SAM440 does not work.

I expect more information as soon as ES2 is released

Good luck.

Until you try the HD7750 with the updated U-boot and driver you cant be sure.
ACube have obviously gotten tests to boot to Workbench with various cards.

Ok, Then I'm going to try it in a sam440. It's going to be a Frankenstein machine but that is how all amigas end up eventually pci -> PCIe x1 slot -> PCIe adapter -> usb3 cable -> PCIe x16 slot+power inserter -> rx550

Eternal Glory!! Well sort of. My Sam440 works with my R9 270X. So far I've booted into workbench. Going to test if 3D works as well. So apparently I'm the first one who got the sam440 working with a SI card. But it doesn't work with with my RX560 yet. It seems to freeze when displaying the amigaos4.1 boot image The RX560 has problems in my X5000 as well so I wouldn't draw any conclusions from that.

Cow3D in nova mode works with 206 fps.

Quote:
Spencer trail first level runs between 30-36 fps at 1920x1080. Warp3D-SI drivers runs fine as well. Shogo is very playable at 1920x1080. Cow3d improved to 223fps. Even on a 3440x1440 workbench screen. Ragemem gives only 23 MB/s read/write from/to gfx memory.

Interesting..

On SAM440 and R9250 Cow3D test runs fine but the counter shows 0fps.
Spencer shows 10fps.
Both tests on 1920x1200.

Can anyone comment on the speed (PCI to PCIE x16)* vs (PCI to PCIE x1 to PCIE x16 )**? Or it does not matter because of speed of PCI slot?

The bus speed would be the same as a single lane PCIe is all that can be used with any adapter even if it has a x16 connector . There may be other factors such as prefetch code.

Ok, so between the Startech adapter and the card a need something like this?

https://allegro.pl/oferta/markowy-rise ... 3wxARHEAQYBCABEgJoffD_BwE

I can try this combo later because in the meantime I spent all my saved cash on a toy which I hope will show up in the "USB compatible device list"
... or maybe my borrowed HD7750 will get UVD support?
