Hello everyone, there a way to embed video through mplayer/dvplayer/emotion in a workbench screen/app at the desidered x,y position?

if i remember right, in the mplayer gui you can set x,y coordinates so i guess that when you pass the url throught the script you can set the x,y coordinates too

You would have to write your own video player based on ffmpeg (or libavcodec etc) or even video.gadget but that would be quite a challenging gadget to write.

@broadblues thank you. Perhaps could be possible to tweak a little mplayer to redirect it's aoutput to a specific screen/window? The play of the clip can be invoked through a shell command.

There is a program called winpos in os4depot. With that you can change position of windows. But dont now if this is help you to get what you seek.
