This is a distantly related question. I have a A1XEG4 and am unable to copy 2.5 gig movie on to my JXFS partition from a DVD. The file is an MP4. I get error 296.
Any suggestions?

We generally install Sony SATA DVDRW in our SAM Flex builds.

@anyone

I can verify that the Liteon SATA DVDRW drives work as well.

just wanted to add that my Sam flex @ 800 did not like 2 brand new LG 22x DVD Burners so I would stick to Sony or LiteOn

My SAM Flex is quite happy with a 22 LG and it is faster than the 20 ASUS for obvious reasons... but both exist happily together...

perhaps it's the media also?

never use anything but 16 x TDK DVD-Rs
