Does anyone know if ACube gave any more up-to-date pricing info on the Sam460 than on their web site? (e.g. at an Amiga show)
Their site says 650 Euros (I took the higher value), which converting to GBP & adding VAT brings it to ?626.
EDIT: Oh, and I guess this price excludes memory? Looks like 1GB will cost around ?25+P&P. And guess I should add price of a PCI SATA card (for a fully-functioning mobo) - seem to be circa ?20+P&P. Which brings the price to around ?680.

what about people who are upgrading to a Sam460 from a Sam440 and therfore already have a registered copy of OS4.1
Your registered copy of AmigaOS 4.1 doesn't contain the SAM 460 HAL which is needed in order to be able to run on the SAM 460.
If you're upgrading by selling your old machine, then the new user will want a copy of AmigaOS 4.1 anyway. If you're buying an extra machine, then you should have one copy per machine.
By so far you have learned that they have divided OS 4 and OS 4.1 distros by machines, so 1 copy goes only per one board or type of machines.
It should be purely the matter of CPU and board drivers, but by keeping the versions separated, I suppose they get clearer picture on hardware sales plus prevent some easy piracy.
So, there will be 460 version of OS 4.1 for sure, as well as of X1000
