Home away from home

As the title says, i've been without an amiga for almost a half year now. I have a windows machine here. But ain't the same. It's quite boring infact. Hehe... I miss the amiga.

So that signature of yours is going to say "AmigaOne X1000" at some point? (Currently it says "Sam 460ex", which seems to no-longer be true....)

That's the plan yes. I have not removed it yet. Lazy me.

If i can wait so long, might get another 460 in the meantime. We will see.

About five months for me, since the A1 died. I got to play with it since 2003. Someday I'll may get another one.

That can't be true, there's too much PC software out there. I recently started playing HALO 2 via Windows Live; awesome stuff.
BTW, AmiKit runs nice in Vista; my sort of backup system!

I use skype, firefox, starcraft 2 and gimp on the pc. When i have an amiga i use gimp on amicygnix instead. And xsane to scan.

And classic emulation is boring. I have set up winuae, had to use it once. Never tried it after that.

I got the feeling back with update4, mui-owb etc. But then its just so much faster surfing internet and no crashes on my windows7 laptop :)

EDIT: I know what you mean with emulation. But it does make it easy to bring with me laptop with wuae then a big amiga on summer vacation for smaller task like using hd-rec.
