I haven't played around with it much yet to be able to tell very well about the speed, but at first glance it seems at least as fast as E-UAE on my A1 if maybe not a little faster. Installation, in my case anyway since I bought YDL on DVD, was very straight forward. After a few preliminary setup steps on the PS3, you boot up, insert the DVD, and its installer takes over asking a few questions and then installing all the necessary packages. You then reboot right into YDL. |

And in half a year we can hopefully upgrade the PS3 from OS 3.9 to OS 4.0 (PS3 release)? Amiga Inc. are very positive about a port! And Hyperion will also have a look at it's potensial, I am sure! |

In answer to your question, Bill McEwen has announced the possibility of PS3 support in the question and answer session on Amiga.org. In answer 21 he said that once the legal situation is resolved, they will put that horse [PS3] before the cart. If the Friedens do not manage it with OS4, then he is sure that the FIVE [OS5] can take care of that issue.  I only wonder when OS5 will be released and for which CPU architecture? |

Re: AmigaOS3.x now running on PlayStation3 IMHO there's no such thing as OS5, I really doubt it's even WIP.
So Amiga and Hyperion should get their act together make a NEW OS4 contract which could benefit all involved and get OS4 out to more people. Guess a PS3 port is far far off.. |
