The first release of Gnumeric 1.6.3 is now available on OS4-depot. Gnumeric
is a spreadsheet, which is part of the Gnome Office Suite.



Gnumeric features:

- GNU Oleo (*.oleo)
- HTML (*.html, *.htm)
- Linear- and integer program format (*.mps)
- Multiplan (SYLK)
- PLN format
- Quattro Pro (*.wb1, *.wb2, *.wb3)
- SC/xspread
- Text-Import (configurable)
- Xbase (*.dbf)

* Supported savers:
- Own format (*.gnumeric)
- Comma separated values (CSV)
- Data Interchange Format (*.dif)
- HTML (Fragment, HTML 3.2 and HTML 4.0, XHTML) (*.html)
- LaTeX 2e (*.tex)
- MS Excel (tm) (5.0/95, 97/2000/XP)
- OpenOffice (incomplete)

- Text-Export (configurable)

* All builtin functions of Excel are available. Also the standard addin
functions and 60 additional functions are included,

* Support of objects like circles, lines, buttons, pictures and so on.

* Print function with preview

Additionally to this Gnumeric has some features, which are basically new to
Cygnix. This includes Amiga clipboard support and working Alt an d Alt+Shift

I agree, this is a big step forward for AOS4. We now have a very good level of ms-word and ms-excel compatability. Well done Ed yet again.

fantastic, I can now convert my FinalData spreadsheets to run on EXcel. Brilliant.
I don't actually want to run Excel, but just the knowledge that it can be done is sufficient.
