Software News : NetSurf 3.2 released
Posted by Chris on 2014/8/31 7:19:46 (1576 reads) News by the same author
Software News

NetSurf 3.2 is primarily a bug-fix release. In addition to fixes, a disc cache feature has been added, and a little work has been done to improve CSS3 support. Several of the front ends have received quite a bit of attention, with new features and improvements; notably the GTK, AmigaOS and Framebuffer front ends. We recommend all users upgrade.

I need to remove the link in the AmigaGuide as the changelog never ends up in the archives these days (and even previously I usually forgot to put it in).

It was previously possible to build a version which supported drawing using Cairo. This was mainly used to "fill in the gaps" where the graphics.library plotter was incomplete (drawing bezier curves etc). After I finally implemented the missing functionality, the Cairo plotter ceased to be useful (the one benefit - anti-aliasing - was outnumbered by the drawbacks, which severely limited the screen modes that it actually worked on amongst other things) so I took the decision to remove it so I didn't need to continue to maintain it.
