Software News

EvenMore is a text viewer with many features and plugin support. The author has revived the project after a long period of inactivity. Please encourage him to continue the development by sending him feedback and/or new ideas.

EvenMore website

Recent Changes:

- Added GETWINPTR ARexx command to EvenMore's port. This will return the window pointer of EvenMore's window.

- Added the commands FILE and EXE to the quickload.txt. These keywords will toggle between whether EvenMore should treat the following lines as text files or execute them as strings whenever selected from the menu.

- Tidied up clipping on title when in borderless window mode.

- Removed Execute menu. This has been replaced by the quickload execute function. You can now name the Execute menu items, by placing a name in front of the command line, followed by a comma.

- Fixed bug in Filetypes plugin. File wasn't terminated correctly, and EvenMore read past the end of the file.

- Fixed stupid bug in screenmode requester. EvenMore didn't store screenmode name properly, causing a crash.

- Tried my best to remove any memory bugs, which seem to be causing repeated GURU meditation errors on some systems. Reverted to E memory allocation commands.

- Fixed problem with text requesters, had circular reference in GUI list.

- Fixed probable problem with helpfile loading. Was using string for buffer, when I should have been using allocated memory.

- If the filename was extra long it could crash the information window. This window can now be resized smaller than the length of the filename.

- Fixed bug. Was freeing plugin list before plugins, which meant plugins weren't being freed.

Well it is, BUT...

If I keep to Euae is works great, but in OS4 ... bzzzt .. GrimTimes. I even tried 'Blacklisted' in Petunia ... bzzzt. I think I'll ask Damien if CIAagent does any thing?. :) Most problems with 'good old amiga' is the GUIgfx.library, IIRC.

Hi Snuffy,

It's programed and compiled in AmigaE, apparently.

Do compiled AMOS programs work on AOS4.0?

"Do compiled AMOS programs work on AOS4.0"

Amos is not system friendly at all, programs compiled on AMOS crash when they try opening there AMOS screens, I don?t know if problem is in amos.librarory or in all it?s extensions, if they can be replaced, but compiled AMOS program included the extensions used when compiled it, so if you replace the none system friendly exemptions whit system friendly once, it will require a recompile, CIA emulation doesn?t help for AMOS.

BlitzBasic and PureBasic works to some existent. (If you ignore the DSI errors.)
