![]() We all in interest about "AmigaOne X1000 speed demo". That is SoftwareRendering on video ? If so, then 57FPS for Quake not that bad already (modern PC like p4/2ghz with modern gfx cards, give 100-110FPS in 640x480 in SW mode). And if that are SW, then for the debug-version of OS4 not bad. IF for end release it will be up to 70-75 (i not say about the same 100 as on win32), it will be already not bad.

Yep, Trevor already explain all details on AW. Looks pretty nice for the debug-version of os. If x1950 give about 80FPS in SW for quake2, then, its very close to modern PC and win32 benchmarks (which give on p4/2ghz cpus abou 100-110fps in SW for quake2). |

![]() Yeah it looks good running OS4. Looking forward to see it with optimised drivers and stuff...
I must admit that I envy the MOS users the PowerBook port they are getting. Cheap and available laptop hw |

![]() It was great seeing everyone at the show, many thanks to Volker for organising the venue. It was encouraging to see so many visitors.

Have had to use a linux laptop all summer as it would be a bit troublesome to bring the A1 to the garden ![]() I would prefer to be able to sit wherever I like with my computer. Example sit in the couch with my gf when she watches tv, instead of sitting in a separate room with my A1. |

![]() Just imagine how much more productive the few AmigaOS developers could be by being able to code anywhere :)
