Anyone running AmiVNC4 2.2.0 from OS4Depot?

Hi all,

Just checking to see if anyone else is using that code? I've found a strange color shift when I connect from most types of clients (Linux, PC, and Mac). Anyone else run in to that? The colors look all wrong.

The only client I've found to work is JollyVNC on OS X.

Thanks!
Bill

A screenshot would be nice.

Have you tried different color settings when starting the server?

What screen depth do you use on the Amiga? I often use TightVNC (tvncviewer.exe) on Win and it works fine. I use 32-bit on the Amiga and then either the BGR233 mode or zlib in full color and they both work fine for me.

Yes, I use it.
At the beginning only one Windows RealVNC client worked. I can give it to you tonight.

Here is a link to how it looks using RealVNC on my OS X system:

I've been playing around with the source and looking at the logs. Looks like any client based on the RealVNC code (a lot of them) ignore the server color shifts and use this pattern in stead:

R=8
G=16
B=0

I have log traces at home with a connection from JollyVNC that worked and REALVNC that did not, can post them later.

Daniil, did you do the update for version 2.2.0?
