Not too shy to talk

I've finally just got round to installing the lastest mplayer (7/1/2007) which says it cured an audio sync problem.

Here when playing flv (youtube) videos the video lags behind the audio, however swapping back to the experimental #3 version puts the sync back. Is the new version slower ?

well, could be a problem on the last avcodec trunks. i'm waiting for the 1.0 final to release a new version. in the meanwhile try with older versions

If the delay is constant you could adjust it via keyborad controls (+ and - adjust audio delay by +/- 0.1 second) or via cmdline (-delay seconds) arguments (quick and not that dirty workaround if you need the extra features the latest verision has).

Run MPlayer with this parameter:
-mc 0

If you use the MPlayer GUI, go to the "Extras" tab, and insert it in "Additional Parameters" string gadget.

I got this tip from the forums awhile ago.
