So it seems to be the fault of the HOME variable?
If yes, what happens, if you only disable "setenv HOME..." in cygnix-startup?

Quake3 on the other hand fails to even start with Cygnix assigns

OK, that an interesting. I found an interfacing problem in Q2 accidently. I use F1Key commodity and had left it in WBStartup and went played Q2. Wow was I in trouble fast! The Q2 GUI read in the commodity as defined keys keyboard input. I died fast!

Netpanzer refuses to load it is looking for a font in the Netpanzer/Pics directory. Quake 3 runs fine.
