Sam Flex weirdness

Hi

My Sam started to act like this :

Turning ON takas about 20-30sec, before anything appear to screen, I mean UBoot/any text. OS loads fast as usual.

I've already tested without CD-Drive and changed hard disk.

This started yesterday, without any hardware changes, I belive OS doesn't matter in this problem.

Sound like you should reset the uboot to default settings,
but before you do dump current settings to a text file and print it, so you know whats changed after.

Has your HD started making a clicking noise?, if so you need to replace it asap.

How do I reset uboot? Is there a guide somewhere?

I've already replaced HD

[edit]

I realised that I did tested WLAN card wich I take out soon after I was sure that it woun't work with atheros driver. Could it be reason of this?

@utri007

Ok here goes I should warn you that some people have big problems setting up boot, so first backup your current settings.

From Amiga Shell, types this:
C:NvGetVar >RAM:Uboot_settings.txt

this should produce a list of settings for uboot, you need this when reconfigure uboot after it has been reset to defaults.

Copy the Uboot_settings.txt file to a FAT formated USB pen, or print it you need it most likely.

And before you do anything you might want takes notes about where you cables what plugs they are plugged in, you should not mess whit cables, but good to know what your working configuration was before you go on.

To reset the UBOOT, you can press ESC, ESC, ESC while doing a cold boot, you should hit UBOOT command line instead of booting AmigaOS.

If type menu and hit enter, you should find a menu option that says default settings.

You should spend some time reading about uboot before proceeding, if you struggle whit configuring UBOOT from UBOOT command line, you might have problems booting in some time to come.

So now you have been warned.

So you just added a PCI card and now it's slow? Then it's a normal behavior. The x86 compiler integrated in Uboot needs time to execute the x86 code on the PCI cards.
It happens the same with some graphic cards.

Added and then removed. I bought D-Link DWL-G510 Wland card, but it was a rev C1, wich means it is Ralink card, so it don't work with new Atheros 5000 driver.
