I just sent a log to a similar error (i think).

It seems AU can't find a file and breaks/crashes
I am not able to updtae to 1.87, even if i cancel the auto
update and do it later by scanning, it just breaks with
the message "Can't find file ''" everytime.

Simon,
I don't get a crash, but I have a problem when I get a message that a file cannot be autoinstalled and to save it to ram. The file saved to ram although having the name of the file .lha, is in fact the page from OS4depot saying that this file cannot be found on this server, and not the actual lha file. This was with the Tunenet OGG plugin.

I don't know if that helps, or hinders, but this has happened the last time I used AmiUpdate as well, but I'm not sure if theis was on the same file, or not.

......OK, Just tried it again.

AmiUpdate updated itself to v1.87.
I ran Scan, and was told there is an update for tunenet ogg plugin available. I selected update.
I then got the message, Cannot unpack this for you would you like to save to Ram?, and I selected yes.

There are two files saved to ram, tuneogg-plug.lha, and au_log. If I double click on the tuneogg-plug.lha it opens in multiview, as the OS4depot page (without logo) saying, You have tried to acess a file that doesn't exist on this server.......etc. When viewing by name tuneogg-plug.lha is 10,543 in size. Using Aweb this plugin is on OS4Depot dated 13 Dec 2006, and is 190k in size.

This is the au_log

Sorry about that, I'll have to wait for Simon so I can email him if he needs it.

Right, not sure why, but the URL for the ogg update was wrong, hence the problem you were experiencing. Everything should work as expected now.

That was the easy fix :)
