I need some help with the game Blastaway. When I start from the control rooms, I always end up getting to a screen with two glass doors on opposite sides of the screen. The problem is I don't have any keys to open these doors and I can't finish the level without a key. I'm pretty sure I've used minimal keys on the previous levels. What am I missing?
Ah this has happened many times and yes it's frustrating but part of the beauty of the game! Basically you may have picked up all the keys but some where along the road/levels you used an extra key unnecessarily. So next time be very careful and very picky about searching the best paths forward and treat every key like your life depends on it

Well, I finished the game to the last level when I start from the beginning, but still get stuck when I start from the control rooms. Has anyone finished it when starting from the control room?
It sounds like a bad design issue. I’ll look into it and release a fixed version, but it’s not going to happen soon due to real life. Sorry and apologies.

Or I could be missing something. No need to apologize. I found your game very enjoyable to play and it is in fact one of the very few games I have actually finished in my life. Let's just say starting from that level and trying to find a solution just gave it a little extra playable life.
Thanks for supplying us with a very nice game for AmigaOS4.
Contrary to what I wrote in my first post, this might well be the case. It's such a long time since I made or even just played the game, that I couldn't remember exactly how resuming works. The manual enlightens us:
Quote:
The "resume from <S>" option in the main menu allows to resume the game from the first arena of the stage <S>, i.e. the most advanced stage reached previously. More precisely: * when a stage <T> is reached and the "resume from <S>" option is not available or <T> is beyond <S>, the current game state (score aside), gets saved; * the next time the menu opens, it will feature the "resume from <T>" option that, when chosen, uses the saved state to restore the game just like it was (score aside) when <T> was reached and resumes the game from there. If, for some reason, the saved state is not satisying (e.g. the soldiers or keys available are too few), it is possible to delete it by means of "remove resume option" from the options menu - this will allow to save a (hopefully) better state the next time.
