NVME device driver
Not too shy to talk

See User information
New beta release can be found at https://github.com/derfsss/AmigaNVMeDevice/releases/tag/v1.68

Quote:
A native AmigaOS 4.1 Final Edition block-device driver for NVMe SSDs on PCIe — partition, format, mount, and boot from NVMe namespaces.

Status: Beta (v1.68) — validated end-to-end under QEMU (Pegasos2, SAM460ex, AmigaOne, including boot-from-NVMe); real-hardware confirmation pending.

⚠️ Beta — actively under development. Expect bugs and rough edges; do not rely on it for anything important. Use at your own risk.

@derfs
I tested the driver on my X5020. The installer did not work, it simply closes itself after the Devs/Kickstart selection and nothing is copied. I was able to install it manually, though.

I have a M2 disk via a x4 PCIe adapter on my system and nvme_stats can see it:

nvme_stats (built 11.06.2026 12:39:29)

=== nvme.device unit 0 (controller 0) ===
Model : ADATA SX8200PNP
Serial : 2N052L1J9GT7
Firmware : 32A0T54B
NSID : 1 Block size: 512 B Capacity: 476.93 GiB

The disk has a gpt partition table and among others a couple of NTFS parttions but they do not seem to mount automatically. My machine has also a gpt formatted Sata SSD disk, and NTFS partitions on it are always automounted without problems.

I also noticed that when I have the nvme driver installed on Kickstart, booting of AmigaOS hangs unusally often (just grey screen with partially loaded WB).
