Fixed, for now

@Rudei

So I replaced the battery and fiddled with the connections on the motherboard for the keyboard and mouse.

This seems to have done the trick for now, may need to get those connections looked at, at some stage.

For now (touch wood) I have myself a working AmigaOne - although having some degree of difficulty with the UBOOT settings but I'm sure I'll work it out.

Thank you for all of your suggestions people.
Kind Regards,
Rude!

Hi @Rudei

Glad to hear this! Now I'm jealous for sure!

I'm still locked into this problem:

http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/v ... p?topic_id=24266&forum=33

It's nice to have company in misery, but nicer if some expert could explain why we bootup with no UBoot syntax?

Try Roy Leith's suggestion.
Also, is it possible the Uboot chip is loose or knackered? Wild stab in the dark

Hi @Snuffy

Yeh right, talking to myself or the A1200!

Anyway this spider just popped out of spout -- booga!

It hadn't any thing to do with batteries. The summer days caused stressing: the two year old LCD monitor failed, the keyboard failed, the battery holder failed. Jeans-Jaques at Amiga Center was very helpful. I didn't know what the extent of all summer overheating did ,so I wanted him to verify that the Uboot rom was was OK.
